South Carolina Dog Club

Project overview

South Carolina Dog Club is the newest member of a family we know well. Cosmick Media handled the dog breeder website design and development for the club. The club raises and places puppies from Longs, South Carolina, near Myrtle Beach. In fact, it is the third club website we have launched with the team behind Charlotte Dog Club and Georgia Dog Club.

The new South Carolina Dog Club website runs on the custom WordPress and WooCommerce platform we built and refined for the Dog Club brand. As a result, the club launched with proven puppy sales features from day one. At the same time, it still has its own name, phone lines, location and local content.

Project write-up

Launching a new club without starting over

Usually, opening in a new state means a brand-new website and a new learning curve. It can also take months before the site earns trust. However, families buying a puppy online need that trust right away. They want to see real puppies, clear prices, health guarantees and a simple way to reserve.

In addition, the club needed its own identity. For example, South Carolina families should see local phone numbers, a local address and content written for them.

Dog breeder website design built on a proven platform

First, we extended the Dog Club platform to support a new location. Then we tailored every page for South Carolina:

  • Live puppy listings. Each puppy card shows photos, breed, price, weight and AKC registration. It also shows the earliest visit or go-home date, and pink and blue card styles make gender easy to spot.
  • Online deposits. Every puppy has a Place a Deposit button, so families can reserve online with Authorize.net or PayPal. After a family pays a deposit, the puppy’s profile comes down automatically.
  • Smart filters and search. Families can filter puppies by breed and gender. They can also browse doodle, designer and purebred puppies, or search the whole site.
  • Detailed puppy profiles. Each puppy has a photo and video gallery, birth date and weight details. Plus, registry and vaccination details sit right next to a Reserve Now button.
  • Trust content. Pages cover the 10-year health guarantee, refundable deposits, guardian families and Homes for Life. Similarly, pages for pet insurance, delivery, training, financing and reviews answer questions before families ask.
  • Easy contact. Call, text and chat buttons stay in reach on every page, with separate lines for sales, client care, puppy care and training.
  • Marketing built in. Omnisend email marketing, Groundhogg CRM, Google Tag Manager and PixelYourSite connect every visit to the club’s marketing.
  • Speed and hosting. Finally, the site is hosted on Kinsta with Cloudflare and optimized with Jetpack Boost, so it loads quickly on any phone.

A third club, launched with confidence

South Carolina Dog Club launched with the same puppy sales tools that work for Charlotte and Georgia. Now families near Myrtle Beach and across the Carolinas can browse puppies, read the guarantees and reserve online. Meanwhile, the club’s team manages listings in the same system they already know.

Today, Cosmick Media builds dog breeder website design, puppy store websites and marketing for pet businesses across the country. Read the Charlotte Dog Club case study and the story behind this launch, or talk to our team about growing your breeding program or pet store online.
