Project overview

Little Red Wagon Farm is a family-owned farm on Springhouse Road in New Tripoli, in the Lehigh Valley. Hosts Mike and Abby bought the property in 2017, and guests now stay in its restored 1820s stone farmhouse on 26 acres. We handled the farm stay website design and development for the Little Red Wagon Farm website, along with its social media.

Guests rent the whole farmhouse, so they want to see every room, meet the animals and know the house rules first. The farm also has an Airbnb listing, so the site gives guests a direct way to ask for dates. Therefore, the site had to feel like a visit to the farm and end with a booking request.

Farm stay website design with a country feel

Families, friend groups and locals visiting relatives all look at the farm differently. For instance, a girls weekend cares about the soaking tub and the fireplace, while a family wants to know about the pond and the animals. So the site tells the farm’s story room by room.

The look is warm and simple. A soft cream background, classic serif headings and a hand drawn style logo with a little red wagon set the tone. Plus, a round red Request a Stay button and a painted landscape of tree rows make the homepage feel like the farm itself.

Built to turn browsers into guests

Every page points to the same goal, a booking request. Here is what it includes:

  • Booking request form. A pop up Gravity Forms request collects check in date, number of nights with a two night minimum and the kind of getaway the guest has in mind.
  • Property tour. A room by room walk through covers the family room, farmhouse kitchen, master suite with clawfoot tub and four more bedrooms, plus indoor and outdoor galleries.
  • Meet the animals. Ozzie the pot-bellied pig and the rest of the farm animals each get a short introduction.
  • Tabbed FAQs. Check in and check out, house rules and pet policy, amenities, farm activities and local spots are answered in one place.
  • Guest reviews. A reviews page shows guest stories, links to the farm’s Airbnb reviews and includes a moderated form for new reviews.

Our Story and the tree farm

In addition, the Our Story and Tree Farm pages share how the family planted evergreens by hand starting in 2018, ahead of a cut your own Christmas tree season planned for 2027.

Easy for the hosts to manage

The site runs on WordPress with Elementor and the Kadence theme, hosted on Kinsta behind Cloudflare. As a result, Mike and Abby can add photos, update FAQs and post seasonal events on their own. Meanwhile, our social media work shares farm stories and seasonal promotions that point back to the site.
